In the documentary she created, The Hour, we watch the all-important 60 minutes before curtain-up as actors including Simon Russell Beale, Ruby Bentall, Ciarán Hinds, Jenny Jules, Rory Keenan and Sophie Thompson warm up, get into costume and character, and embark on the nerve-racking nightly ritual of preparing to go on stage at one of Britain’s busiest and most high-profile theatres.
